Welcome to another episode of Life With Jode. 
 
This week's episode we have Becca, Becca’s episode has been split into 2 Parts! Why? Because we had so much to talk about and touch on, Weight loss & Weight loss Surgery, Pageants, Miss Bariatric along with her Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, SEN Parenting with her children that have Autism and ADHD!
 
In Part 1 - Today’s episode - 
We dive into her Weightloss journey, why she chose to have gastric surgery, along with who she went with and what research she did into the company before booking, we talk about her previous experience in the pageant world and what pageants she joined in with before her weight loss.

Miss Empire UK 
 
We then speak about her reasoning for joining Miss Bariatric 2025, if she has her outfits sorted, what she is putting in place to help raise money for Cancer Research. 
 
In Part 2 - Which will be available on all platforms from Monday 5th May 2025 - 
We are talking about her experience with navigating her life from a young age with Bipolar Disorder, which only got diagnosed rather recently although she has suffered with this since being a child, we also talk about her PTSD and how she has coped with this after her unfortunate attack a couple of years ago.
 
We also talk about her children and being a SEN parent to a 4 year old with Autism and her 9 year old who is mildly autistic but is still waiting to get her diagnosis on ADHD, we talk about how this affects her, how she advocates for her children, and what she is trying to get put in place for her children for them to have their best life.

Let's Talk Miss Bariatric 2025!

Welcome to another episode of Life With Jode. This week's episode we have Senna Michelle, a fellow Bariatric girl who has taken her platform to the next level!
In this episode we get to take a deep dive into Senna and her reasoning behind her choice to undergo weight loss surgery.
We talk in depth on how she entered the world of pageantry, and what made her want to make the first of its kind pageant for people who have undergone weight loss, Miss Baraitric. Having this platform to help her bring together the weight loss community in more ways than one. Helping empower others, bring up the confidence in a community that may not have had this feeling before! 
Finding out why Senna chose to work with Cancer Research for the Charity Fundraising along with what we could do to help raise funds.
We talk a little into some slight changes that have been made from Miss Bariatric 2024 to Miss Bariatric 2025!

Welcome to another episode of Life With Jode. This week's episode is all about Crystal, A woman who over the course of 6 months has become one of my closest bariatric friends! She has come on my podcast to talk to us about SO many things that we have had to split her episode over 2 Episodes! So this is part 2!
In Part 2 of our episode which will be live next week! We will be talking about her documentary with Channel 4 talking about her Weight loss Surgery, along with magazines and newspapers she has been a part of! We talk all about Plastics that she underwent in January 2025, going back with Booking Surgery, Turkey. Followed by a good old natter about Miss Bariartic that we are both taking part in this year, November 2025.

Let's Talk Gastric Sleeve in America

Hello Hello Hello,
Welcome to another episode of Life With Jode. This week's episode is all about Corey an amazing friends and supporter I have met over TikTok, We talk about his weight loss story and how this differs from his sleeved surgery to my bypass surgery, also his pre op, during and post op care he got in USA, Texas to mine over in Turkey. He talks about how the surgery has helped his health massively improve! Getting himself 4 out of 5 medications he was on to help his body keep him going.
We look into how his surgery along with his support system has helped him lose over 132 Pounds in over 17 Months. Since his journey his wife has also chosen to help herself lose weight by putting herself on weight loss injections, which has been a big help and support for Corey and his journey too!
Corey has his TikTok page to help support not only people who have undergone weight loss surgery but also to help reach the side of weight loss surgery that doesn't get much light shed on, the male population! Corey likes to be transparent on his platform and help men stay grounded on their journey through the time of losing weight, and making sure they aren't alone on the journey, there is a community out there for everyone, it's just a matter of finding it!
Corey has found himself with loose skin after losing his weight, but this doesn't bother him, and he doesn't have any intentions right now in undergoing any skin removal surgery.

Let's Talk Pageantry with Hayley

Hello Hello Hello,
Welcome to another episode of Life With Jode. This week's episode is all about Hayley and her journey, through her world of Pageantry, building up two businesses she loves and puts her heart and soul in, along with her own weight loss surgery.
Hayley started her journey in the prom dress business due to her noticing a lack of empowerment and confidence many dress shops didn't offer while trying to find THE dress for young girls and guys, realising there was this gap in the industry she has taken it upon herself to give young women and men the opportunity to come to her beautiful establishment, feel amazing!
Alongside this she noticed that people lack a lot of confidence, which has lead her to doing Confidence Crowd, this is where she helps navigate people through to find their self love and empowerment to help them be the best version of themselves, she offers podcast episodes talking to people, sharing their stories and an what they have gone through to get to where they are today, She offers online and 1-1 training classes with all of your confidence needs.
Hayley also sheds some light onto her own weight loss story, how how she has managed to become one of the best versions of herself, but also reminding us when you still need to enjoy life and if you hit a speed bump it's not the end of the world, compose your thoughts and get back on it.

Let's Talk Life on Weight Loss Injections

Hello Hello Hello,
Welcome to another episode of Life With Jode. This week's episode is all about Lauren and her  weight loss journey on the injections Mounjaro, Lauren decided to start taking Mounjaro to help her lose weight and silence the food food noise all the way back in March 2024, She has since lost around 85 Pounds and is looking to go into maintenance mode while still using Mounjaro to help her for the time being. She talks about how she uses her platform on TikTok to help others navigate how to use Monujaro safely and create an online support system for all. 
Lauren, since losing her weight has found herself left weight quite a bit of loose skin, which doesn't bother her so much at the moment but will be something she wants to tackle in the future, After looking into the prices over here in the UK she is not shy from looking into traveling abroad to help her achieve the right look for her.
I enjoyed talking to Lauren about her journey on weight loss injections and how this way differs from what the weight loss surgery community goes through to be able to achieve the happy healthy version we all want for ourselves. I hope to have Lauren back on the pod if/when she has undergone her plastics, so she can share that side of the story and how she found the process from start to finish!

Let's Talk Weight Loss Surgery - In The UK

This episode is all about Charlotte’s Weight Loss Surgery, Charlotte underwent weight loss surgery in the UK and she talks to us all about why she chose to have surgery, how the process went for her as she was able to get the surgery on the NHS, the ups and downs, how her family and friend dynamics changed, taste bud changes! Possible plastics, and us just having a good old natter!
I loved talking to Charlotte, she was like a breath of fresh air. I am so grateful for having her come on and sharing her story with us all. Maybe she will be back telling her story on plastics one day in the future, but for now! I hope you enjoy the listen!
